On Instagram you’ll catch me boxing, lifting weights or doing pilates. Even though I love an adventure, when it comes to working out, I have to be honest--running isn't part of my routine. I love the theory of running, the idea of being able to just go--where you want, when you want--but when it comes to actually getting into stride, I get nervous.
Spotify recently launched their “Spotify Running” feature which allows their users to choose a music genre and then matches the tempo with their pace. It helps people think less about their pace and more about the music--allowing them to zone out completely. Since this seemed perfect for a runner like me (someone who over thinks the act of running), I decided to partner with Spotify to give it a try.
I designed my intention to be two-fold--not only would I get over my fear of running, but I would also be able to discover my favorite NYC neighborhoods in a new way. I mapped out a route, tracing all the spots that I don’t frequent enough
Thankfully the whole experience is super user-friendly--find #SpotifyRunning by tapping the “Running” button on the home screen. You then select your favorite genre and get going!
